As a nonprofit organization, the mission of Amas is to provide senior veterans a community that affords its residents the opportunity to achieve their highest-possible quality of life. The focus is on customer service, NOT profit. Our mission is to create an nursing homes for veterans in the San Juan Metropolitan Area that provides outstanding private accommodations, fully supported healthcare facilities and services, common areas, and gardens that promote wellness, tranquility, and spaces that stimulate social interaction.
Our vision is to create a nursing homes that becomes the long‐term care operator of choice for elderly residents in San Juan, PR. The facility will provide exceptional care at an affordable price, implementing industry “best practices” to enhance the quality of life for residents.

Join as a volunteer

The best way to find yourself is in the service of others. There are no time requirements for volunteers, and we will work around your schedule. We are looking for the following:

  • Hospice patient volunteers
  • Office volunteers
 

Specialty volunteers, including but not limited to:

  • Massage therapists
  • Pet therapy
  • Musicians
  • Bereavement

 

Our volunteers serve their communities in many different ways, and they are at the heart of what we do. College or high school students are welcome to volunteer and spend time with patients.
