Agnes Cardona Ruemmele

Agnes Cardona Ruemmele was born on October 6, 1964 in Pavia Hospital located in Santurce, Puerto Rico. She was raised in the small northern town of Trujillo Alto with her parents Rafelio Cardona, Sr. and Myriam Ruemmele and her older brother, Rafelio Cardona, Jr.

Agnes grew up in a family with strong, rooted principles in the good of others. During her childhood, she was taught that strong moral values and staying true to her principles were the most important traits. She grew up respecting those surrounding and guiding her. Together with her family and friends, Agnes enjoyed a happy childhood filled with love and joy.

Agnes graduated from Nstra. Sra. Del Carmen high school in 1982. During the 13 years she spent there, she earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and fellow classmates due to her hard work, determination, faith, good moral judgement, and leadership, character traits that continued to define her during her adulthood and personal growth.

In 1982, Agnes was admitted to Interamerican University, Metro Campus in San Juan. She graduated in 1987 obtaining a Bachelors of Arts degree in Accounting. Once she completed her undergraduate studies, she had the opportunity to work with a well-renown insurance company, PRAICO.

From 1989 until 1992, Agnes moved to Miami Florida. There, she worked in Payroll for a company which employed registered nurses and physical therapists. She returned to Puerto Rico in 1993 and began working at the Interamerican University’s Central Administration, Federal Loan Department. At that time, she also began her post-graduate studies and completed 42 credits of a Masters in Finance. While working at Interamerican’s Central

Administration, Agnes met her now husband, Eduardo, with whom she procreated two beautiful daughters. Married for 26 years, Agnes and Eduardo’s relationship continues to be guided by love, trust, and respect towards each other.

From 1999 until the present, Agnes has been working in the family business, Empresas Cardona. Together with her father, she has dedicated her time and effort into building commercial real estate. Agnes is currently responsible for administering various companies within the organization. She is vice-president of RR Enterprises, one of several corporations within Empresas Cardona. For Agnes, working in the family business together with her father has been an utmost rewarding experience full of professional growth and pride.
